By Car from Newmarket/Cambridge/London (A14 Eastbound)
Approach Bury St. Edmunds on the A14 eastbound. Take the first exit sign-posted Bury St. Edmunds, and follow the signs to the town centre (3rd exit off roundabout). At the traffic lights beside Glasswell's furniture warehouse go straight across. At mini roundabout go straight on. At large roundabout turn right into Parkway (dual carriageway). Next roundabout go straight across, take the second turning on the left into St. Andrew's Street South. After 200 yards you will see a school entrance (St. Louis RC Middle School) on your left. Go into the school gates and immediately fork right (the left fork goes to the school), and St. Andrew's Castle will be straight in front of you.

By Car from Thetford or Diss (A143 or A143 Southbound)
At the A14 (Tesco) roundabout go straight across following the signs for the town centre. Go straight across the next FIVE roundabouts following the ring road (do NOT turn left at the third of these roundabouts into St. Andrew's Street North!). (On crossing the fourth of these roundabouts you will be in Parkway which is a dual carriageway.) Go down the hill and take the second turning on the left into St. Andrew's Street South. After 200 yards you will see a school entrance (St. Louis RC Middle School) on your left. Go into the school gates and immediately fork right (the left fork goes to the school), and St. Andrew's Castle will be straight in front of you.

By Car from Ipswich or Stowmarket (A14 Westbound)
Approach Bury St. Edmunds on the A14 westbound. Leave the A14 at the first exit sign-posted Bury St. Edmunds (Sainsbury's), and take the first exit off the roundabout sign-posted to the town centre. Go straight across two roundabouts. At the third roundabout turn right into Cullum Road. At the double mini-roundabout by the Elephant and Castle pub go straight across into Parkway (dual carriageway). Go up the hill to the next roundabout, then go right round the roundabout and come back down the hill (double back on yourself to the opposite side of the dual carriageway). Go down the hill and take the second turning on the left into St. Andrew's Street South. After 200 yards you will see a school entrance (St. Louis RC Middle School) on your left. Go into the school gates and immediately fork right (the left fork goes to the school), and St. Andrew's Castle will be straight in front of you.

By Car from Sudbury (A134 Northbound)
Approach Bury St. Edmunds on the A134. At the first roundabout turn left. At the next roundabout turn right into Cullum Road. At the double mini-roundabout by the Elephant and Castle pub go straight across into Parkway (dual carriageway). Go up the hill to the next roundabout, then go right round the roundabout and come back down the hill (double back on yourself to the opposite side of the dual carriageway). Go down the hill and take the second turning on the left into St. Andrew's Street South. After 200 yards you will see a school entrance (St. Louis RC Middle School) on your left. By Car from Haverhill (A143 Northbound)
Approach Bury St. Edmunds on the A143 northbound. At the double mini-roundabout by the Elephant and Castle pub go left into Parkway (dual carriageway). Go up the hill to the next roundabout, then go right round the roundabout and come back down the hill (double back on yourself to the opposite side of the dual carriageway). Go down the hill and take the second turning on the left into St. Andrew's Street South. After 200 yards you will see a school entrance (St. Louis RC Middle School) on your left. Go into the school gates and immediately fork right (the left fork goes to the school), and St. Andrew's Castle will be straight in front of you.
